Purpose: To provide a safe and nurturing educational experience in a Christian environment.
Mission Statement: To be a place where children and families feel welcome; where children grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually; where God’s presence can be felt.
Our Program: We believe children learn best by doing. Developmentally appropriate active learning is researched based and supported by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. A child’s classroom is their textbook so we ensure our classrooms are filled with high quality materials and experiences. These intentional practices provide the foundation for children to develop academic readiness.

We offer:
Preschool for toddlers ages 10 months – 35 months as well as PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten.
Curriculum: Our curriculum is child centered and meets each child where they are at developmentally. Research-based standards allow teachers to track developmental milestones and inform individualized instruction.
Toddlers through PK 3 classrooms use the Creative Curriculum, which includes all developmental domains and is supported by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. In addition, we track developmental milestones using the adapted American Academy of Pediatrics Developmental Checklist, Birth to Five.
PK 4 and Kindergarten classrooms use the Starfall Curriculum. This program integrates math, science, health, creative arts, social studies, physical movement, literacy and social-emotional development to create an environment of successful early education.
Enhancement:
Curriculum Enhancement and Special Events are both an important part of our program and your child’s experience here at Bracken Preschool. Our Curriculum Enhancement Specialist plans monthly activities, in house visitors, special events, and field trips (PK and Kinder only) that support the curriculum and extends each child’s learning.
